美國 GM(通用)汽車於本屆2012洛杉磯車展中宣佈與 Polyphony Digital電腦娛樂公司合作打造虛擬版2014 Corvette C7原型車，讓全球 Gran Turismo 5(跑車浪漫旅5)玩家能將下載此車款，並能開著它在遊戲賽道中盡情奔馳！

        Chevrolet(雪佛蘭)汽車全球市場副總經理 Chris Perry先生表示，目前 Corvette開發團隊中技術最強的駕駛們正在全球最艱難的賽道上測試 Corvette C7原型車的極限與性能，並替車輛進行調教與強化。市售版2014年式 Corvette C7性能跑車將於明年1月的2013底特律車展上首度亮相。
